Set in '60s South London, this is an enchanting comedy drama about compassion, cricket, and children's desperate need to fit in. 11 year-old David is mad about cricket but unfortunately his stunning ineptitude with bat and ball has made him a laughing stock at school. He's in seventh heaven when a Jamaican family moves in next-door and set up a cricket net in their back garden. But when the neighbours start to make life difficult for the new arrivals he learns how hard it can be sometimes to do the right thing. Like Bend It Like Beckham this is a charming comedy that anyone can enjoy whether you're a cricket fan or not.
