Last year's Focus Day was full of inspiring talks from some of Britain's most exciting filmmakers. Expect more of the same this year - the full line-up is yet to be confirmed but Neil Oseman and Ian Russell will be present to talk about the films they've made this year. Neil Oseman - Soul Searcher

Hereford's First Micro-budget Movie. A feature length fantasy-adventure movie, Soul Searcher was shot in Hereford on a micro-budget. It tells the story of an ordinary guy who is trained to be the new Grim Reaper. A trailer and behind-the-scenes documentary, including clips from the film, will be followed by a Q&A session with Writer-Director Neil Oseman, Producer Edward Reed, Assistant Martial Arts Choreographer Chris Jones, and, actors Ray Bullock Jnr., Katrina Cooke, Chris Hatherall and Lara Greenway.

Ian Russell - Ten Men Dancing

Ian Russell is a Glasgow-born writer/musician now based in Herefordshire. He has worked in the music-business, television, theatre and more recently film and video in a professional capacity for over twenty-five years. In 2003 he began a series of collaborative projects with acclaimed choreographer/director Gary Rowe, culminating in the production of Ten Men Dancing, a short film based on the life and work of the late comedian Tommy Cooper that is scheduled to appear on Channel Four in Spring 2004. He is currently working on a political science-fiction short set in the countryside at the time of the invasion of Iraq.
